New Life Birth Center's innovative midwife-physician collaborative practice demonstrates the love of Christ by empowering families through the Midwives Model of Care, group prenatal care, and a freestanding birth center. Holistic maternity care services will include prenatal, birth and postnatal care, breastfeeding assistance, and lifelong women's health care and education. We are raising funds to open our birth center.
Childbearing is a normal part of a woman’s life and a special time for families, not an illness. Our staff strives to treat each woman as an individual, valued by God. While our current services are limited to health care education and counseling, as we grow we will offer a freestanding birth center staffed with nurse-midwives. Birth centers support the midwifery philosophy of birth by creating a comfortable, relaxed, home-like atmosphere. The home-like environment includes a kitchen and living area, private bedrooms with large tubs for labor or birth. Women are free to eat and drink as they choose. Anyone they desire can attend the prenatal visits, labor, and birth. New Life Birth Center is a member of the American Association of Birth Centers (AABC). National standards have been defined and accreditation is provided by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers.
